EVENT OVERVIEW

Summary

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency will host a Business Briefing with private energy developers, industry, regulatory officials, and other decision makers from Latin American and Caribbean countries in the early stages of civil nuclear energy development—Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Jamaica, and Paraguay—to establish relationships with U.S. nuclear energy and related technology companies. Delegates will provide an overview of current and planned development projects and network with participants showcasing state-of-the-art U.S. technology and best practices across the full civil nuclear value chain.

Key topics will include: SMR and microreactor technologies; supply chain development and local content strategies; safeguards, security, and nonproliferation; regulatory standards and licensing pathways; effective planning, financing, and risk allocation; workforce development and education exchange; civil nuclear applications for industrial sectors (including hydrogen, desalination, and process heat); and strategies for leveraging existing infrastructure.

Business Opportunities

  • Direct access to key decision-makers and influencers. Meet private energy developers, utility executives, regulators, and senior government officials who shape national nuclear policy, licensing, and procurement. Gain firsthand insights into their immediate priorities and long-term plans.

  • Learn about emerging opportunities. Get insider market intelligence about specific plans for SMR and microreactor deployments, upcoming procurements of equipment and services, regulatory and policy developments, and financing needs directly from the delegates.

  • Targeted networking and matchmaking. Participate in structured one-on-one meetings and facilitated networking designed to connect U.S. firms with the right partners, accelerating deal flow and potential joint ventures or supply-chain partnerships in Latin America and the Caribbean.

  • Showcase your advanced nuclear technologies and expertise. Present your company’s SMR/microreactor solutions, supply-chain capabilities, financing models, workforce training programs, or industrial applications (hydrogen, desalination, process heat) to a highly qualified audience actively seeking U.S. best practices and technologies.

  • Strengthen your competitive position. Position your company as a preferred U.S. partner for safe and reliable nuclear solutions and build long-term relationships that open doors to international markets.
